Apart from publishing the copyright content of the original publishers, The owner of Cotomovies also shared the personal information of their users to the authorities. For this action, the developers of the app Apologise publicly in a public statement :
“I want to express my sincere regret to the owners of the motion pictures Hellboy and Angel Has Fallen as well as all rights holders for inducing and contributing to copyright infringements by my operation of the app CotoMovies.
